About Valley Tax Law

A California tax law firm built to give Central Valley families and businesses the same caliber of representation that large-city firms provide, at fees that respect what our clients are already dealing with.

Our Story

Valley Tax Law was founded in Fresno in 2018 with a focused mission: represent taxpayers in IRS and California state tax matters at the level they would receive in San Francisco or Los Angeles, without making them travel and without charging metropolitan rates. Today we serve clients across the Central Valley, the Central Coast, and the rest of California through our network of offices and phone-based representation.

In the years since, the firm's work has spanned everything from $15,000 installment agreements for working families to seven-figure Offer in Compromise negotiations for business owners. The common thread is that every case is supervised by a licensed tax attorney, not by sales staff or junior preparers.

How We Are Different from National Tax Relief Companies

The IRS resolution market is crowded with national companies that operate as marketing-and-sales engines first and tax practices second. They sell on television and radio, sign up clients with a flat enrollment fee, and then assign the work to whoever has capacity that week. The Federal Trade Commission has repeatedly warned about the practices of the largest tax-relief operators.

Valley Tax Law is a law firm. Our attorneys are members of the State Bar of California. We are licensed to practice before the IRS and the United States Tax Court. Our cases are staffed by the same attorney from intake to resolution, not handed off through a queue. The firm is local, the work is local, the accountability is local.

The First Call Is With Our Tax Debt Resolution Team

When you call (559) 201-0183, you reach our tax debt resolution team. These are experienced specialists who have walked thousands of individuals and businesses across the United States through IRS collection cases. They listen to your situation, identify what applies, and build you a written action plan: yours to keep, with or without us.

If your case requires attorney input on the first call (Tax Court deadline approaching, criminal exposure, complex litigation), they bring an attorney into the conversation immediately. If you retain the firm, a California-licensed tax attorney supervises every aspect of your matter from that point forward.

What We Believe

The first conversation should be free. Tax problems are stressful enough without a consultation invoice. We will tell you what you are dealing with, what options exist, and whether you actually need a lawyer, all before any fee is charged.

Honest assessment matters more than aggressive sales. Some cases do not need a tax attorney. If your situation can be resolved by a phone call to ACS or a single response to a CP2000 notice, we will tell you that and point you in the right direction. We would rather lose a small case to refer than take a fee for work that did not need a lawyer.

Fees should be predictable. Most engagements are flat-fee, with the price tied to the scope of work. You will know what you are paying before the engagement letter is signed.

Communication is part of the service. The IRS moves slowly, but client updates do not have to. We return calls within one business day, respond to emails the same day where practical, and proactively report on every notable IRS contact.

Bar Admissions and Credentials

Our attorneys are admitted to the State Bar of California, the United States Tax Court, and federal District Courts within California. Member of the American Bar Association Section of Taxation. Active in continuing legal education on IRS procedure, California tax controversy, and federal tax legislation through the California CPA Society and the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

Practice Format

Our offices are mailing addresses only. We conduct our practice over the phone and by appointment, using a secure document portal for paperwork and electronic signatures. Most clients resolve their entire case without an in-person meeting. This format is what lets us serve the entire Central Valley (and beyond) without the overhead that drives metropolitan firm fees.

Why people call us first

Get a free tax debt action plan. Built by experts. Yours to keep.

Most tax-relief companies use the consultation as a sales pitch. We use it to give you something concrete: a clear, prioritized plan for your specific case, ready to execute with or without our involvement.

  • You speak with experts, not salespeople. Our resolution team has worked thousands of IRS and state tax cases across the United States. They know which questions matter.
  • You leave with a written action plan. Not a vague pitch. Specific steps tailored to your facts: which IRS program fits, what to file, what deadlines apply, what to expect.
  • The plan is yours, no strings attached. Use it on your own. Take it to another firm. Hire us to execute it. There is no obligation, ever.
  • If we cannot help, we tell you. Not every case is right for our firm. When that happens, we point you toward the right resource instead of taking your money.
